In order to achieve the best production process of the desired part and to optimize the production time and the production cost, taking into account the customer’s conditions, the limitations and restrictions in the production process of the parts, the following steps are carried out by the engineering team of the complex.
∗ Design (CAD) of all mold components with powerful Autocad and Solidworks software
∗ Analysis (CAE) with the best FEM software such as Abaqus and Comsol multiphysics
∗ Software simulations of various stages of progressive molding in the pressing process
Following a review of the part requirements, material and sheet thickness, production volume, and process limitations, the preliminary die design is developed, and the forming method and sequence of operations are determined. At this stage, the part geometry and production conditions are carefully evaluated to establish the operation sequence in the progressive die, strip layout, and the sequence of cutting and forming operations.
Subsequently, all die components, including cutting and forming elements, punches, dies, retaining plates, guiding components, and other required parts, are designed and modeled in both 2D and 3D. During the die design process, dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, ease of assembly and disassembly, maintainability, and extending the service life of die components are taken into consideration.
The final 3D model of the die serves as the basis for reviewing and manufacturing the die components, while enabling a detailed evaluation of the positioning and functionality of the various die components prior to the manufacturing stage.
